At a press conference leading up to Saturday’s derby against Manchester City, Carrick addressed inquiries regarding recent discussions that have taken place.
“I’ve had numerous conversations with Jason and have been collaborating closely with him, as well as with Omar,” Carrick stated.
“We’ve had extensive discussions over the past few days, as you might expect.
“The owners and the ownership group were present and involved, so it was nice to meet with them yesterday for a brief chat. They were focused on business matters, but we still managed to share some thoughts, and they offered their best wishes to us.
“It was great to see them.”
