“Winning games is the goal, and that’s a given,” Carrick shares on the podcast. “There are various approaches to achieving this, plus different circumstances during matches that might require a specific style of play.
“For me, it’s all about collaborating with the players. I genuinely enjoy working with them and helping them grow individually, which in turn should benefit the team as a whole. I want to provide them with the support they need. We’re all in this together, and it’s vital that we look out for each other.
“Of course, results are what truly matter. I hope we can play in an engaging and positive manner, allowing players to express themselves and create excitement. I want to be on the edge of my seat, thrilled by the boys’ performance, and it’s crucial that we see positive outcomes alongside that.”
