FOCUSING ON THE DETAILS
“While there are definitely positive aspects, there’s still a lot we need to improve on. Our failures to secure victories often come down to the details. It’s less about the formation—whether it’s a back four, three, or five—and more about understanding the flow of the game. We need to be more precise, especially against strong opponents. Today, we had numerous chances that should have led us to victory and earned us all three points.”
BETTER PERFORMANCE THAN RECENT HOME GAMES
“Winning away is important, but it’s crucial to also secure wins at home. We have to concentrate on our performance, which was a notable improvement compared to our last two home matches. The end result remains the same—just one point—but the quality of play was markedly different. It’s disappointing for our fans at Old Trafford, who expect not just victories but thrilling football. At times, we delivered just that. It was a commendable performance, yet we must be sharper in front of goal, as we created plenty of chances. [Senne] Lammens was impressive in goal. Both sides had opportunities, but we had the edge in creation. We need to learn how to close out games, as this has happened repeatedly. It’s part of our growth, and though we strive for excellence, sometimes our efforts fall short.”
ADAPTING TO ABSENCES
“As a manager, one of the most engaging aspects of my role is finding solutions with the players available to us. Following last season, I believe we’re equipped to handle whatever challenges come our way. We need to move forward knowing that injuries are a common issue for all teams in England. Our aim is to adapt and discover new ways to score goals.”
