The Danish national team has a history of exceeding expectations and producing remarkable players. However, the country's top-tier league has only recently emerged from relative obscurity within European football. This shift is highlighted by the increasing number of promising young players from the Danish Superliga transferring to larger clubs across Europe. Notably, all ten of the league's highest transfers to date involved players under the age of 21, featuring standout talents like Sindre Walle Egeli, Ousmane Diomande, and Conrad Harder, who are now recognized as some of the most exciting prospects in Europe. Following this week's Transfermarkt update, which saw adjustments in the market value of 298 players, we've compiled a list of the most promising talents from the Danish Superliga to watch in 2026.

Darío Osorio

First on our list is Midtjylland winger Darío Osorio. The 21-year-old Chilean talent received a significant €2 million increase, raising his market value to €8 million. Transfermarkt data scout Tobias Räthel remarked on Osorio’s accomplishments: “He debuted for the Chilean national team at the age of 18. Versatile and resourceful, he excels as a winger, wing-back, central attacking midfielder, or striker.”

Since joining Denmark in 2023 for €5.2 million, Osorio has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists while playing in eight different positions. Despite his impressive performance, Räthel notes, “His scoring record has held him back from becoming the league's most valuable player. His assists outshine his goals, and his physicality may not align with the demands of the Premier League. However, a move to Spain or France could suit his skill set well. Fans are already likening him to the legendary Alexis Sanchez, particularly noting his one-on-one dribbling and exceptional technique.”

Noah Nartey

Next on the list is Brøndby attacking midfielder Noah Nartey, who saw a €3 million boost in his market value, now standing at €11 million. This substantial increase reflects his rapid rise since breaking into Brøndby’s first team just a year ago. “Nartey is currently the standout player at BIF,” says Räthel. “Last season belonged to Mathias Kvistgaarden, but Nartey has shone in the spotlight this season. Initially deployed as a central midfielder, fans had hoped for a more attacking role, which his current coach, Steve Cooper, has now recognized.”

At just 20 years old, Nartey has made 54 Superliga appearances, showcasing great vision, attacking prowess, and strong passing abilities. He has transformed into a No. 10 under Cooper's guidance and demonstrated impressive goal-scoring skills.

Prince Amoako Junior

In Nordsjælland, we find Prince Amoako Junior, an 18-year-old winger who has made a remarkable transition since joining from the Ghanaian academy Right to Dream. After his move to Denmark in February, his market value skyrocketed by €4.6 million, reaching €9.6 million. “He made an immediate impact, scoring and assisting in his debut,” noted Räthel about the exciting left winger.

“He is often compared to Jeremy Doku on social media, known for his explosive speed, exceptional dribbling, and ability to challenge defenders. His agility is enhanced by his smaller stature. Contributing nine goals in his debut season, he has already attracted attention from bigger clubs. While he has strong potential, his tackling remains a weakness, suggesting a move to the Premier League might be premature.”

Caleb Yirenkyi

Another exciting talent at Nordsjælland is Caleb Yirenkyi, who also arrived in Denmark in February. His market value has risen to €11 million after a €5 million increase in the latest update. Like his fellow countryman, Yirenkyi adapted quickly to European football. “He joined FCN from a Ghanaian academy and quickly secured a spot in the Superliga. His agility and physicality enable him to dominate in midfield and defense,” says Räthel.

So far this season, Yirenkyi has played as a central defender, defensive midfielder, and central midfielder, contributing a goal and four assists in 17 league matches. “His remarkable stamina and passing skills make him an excellent all-around player for both his club and the national team. Scouts are keenly watching him and Prince as potential players who could fetch over €10 million for FCN. His versatility, including playing as a right-back and right midfielder for Ghana, further underscores his talent.”

Franculino – Midtjylland

Finally, we have Franculino from Midtjylland, whose market value surged by €9 million in the recent update, making him the most valuable player in the league. His impressive statistics include 54 goals and 13 assists since transferring from Benfica’s youth academy to the Superliga in 2023. “His stellar performances have made him the league's shooting star,” notes Räthel.

Franculino has drawn interest from top clubs including Everton, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Borussia Dortmund. When he eventually departs Midtjylland, it’s anticipated that his transfer fee will far surpass the club's record of €16 million from 2017. “His speed and scoring ability have turned him into a coveted prospect for many top European teams. With his potential for further growth, a transfer is likely on the horizon, although the club has rebuffed offers of around €20 million, insisting he remains through the winter.”
