458 updates
Following updates to the Premier League and LaLiga last week, Transfermarkt has now revised the market values of 458 players in Ligue 1. Paris Saint-Germain midfielders Vitinha and João Neves have taken the top spots, surpassing teammate Ousmane Dembélé as the most valuable players in the French league. Dembélé’s value remains at €100 million, while Neves and Vitinha both see increases of €20 million, raising their values from €90 million to €110 million.
“It’s challenging to distinguish between the two Portuguese midfielders,” noted Ronan Caroff, Transfermarkt Area Manager for France. “Both have been crucial for PSG over the past season, a trend that continues in the current season. Although Neves has dealt with a hamstring injury, he has still managed to tally nine goals and two assists—an impressive feat for a central midfielder at just 21 years old.” Vitinha has also made his mark, described by Caroff as the “metronome in PSG’s midfield,” with eight assists this season and a willingness to contribute offensively. Their impressive performances justified their positions as the league’s most valuable players.
Besides the top duo, two other rising talents at PSG, Senny Mayula and Ibrahim Mbaye, have also seen significant increases in their market values. Mayula’s value rose by €15 million to €40 million, demonstrating his evolution from a substitute to a key player in Luis Enrique’s system as a striker, taking minutes from Gonçalo Ramos, whose value has decreased by €5 million. “He needs to make decisions about his future as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract,” Caroff explained. Regarding Mbaye, at 17 years old, he has integrated into PSG’s regular rotation, doubling his minutes from last season and expected to play an important role for Senegal at the upcoming AFCON.
Strasbourg Market Values: Chelsea Loanee Rising – Barco and Panichelli Making Strides
At Chelsea partner club Strasbourg, the standout player is Emmanuel Emegha, whose market value has climbed €3 million to €28 million. Despite battling injuries, he has been remarkably effective when fit, scoring seven goals in 11 matches, which has earned him a spot on the Dutch national team. His form suggests he has a bright future with Chelsea ahead of his summer transfer.
Two additional players poised for potential moves to Chelsea are Mamadou Sarr and Joaquín Panichelli. Sarr, who was signed last summer and loaned back to Strasbourg, has stepped into a leadership role as the vice-captain. His market value increased by €5 million to €25 million, while Panichelli’s value surged from €12 million to €25 million after a successful loan at Alavés, where he scored 21 goals in 44 matches, cementing his reputation and attracting Chelsea’s attention.
Another player on the rise is Valentín Barco, who, having signed for €10 million from Brighton, has become a vital player for Strasbourg. He is now part of the Argentine national team and has drawn interest from Bayern Munich. His market value rose by €10 million to €25 million as a result of his impactful performances.
Ligue 1 Market Values: Bouaddi Hype Fades? Ethan Mbappé and Rennes Defenders Shine
Lille’s Ayyoub Bouaddi has seen a market value increase, with his hype seemingly revitalized after a strong start to the new season. With an increase of €10 million from €30 million to €40 million, Bouaddi has secured a contract extension until 2029, further intensifying transfer interest.
Teammate Ethan Mbappé also experienced a rise as his market value climbed €4 million to €9 million. Although he has faced injury challenges, his prospects continue to improve under head coach Bruno Génésio as he earns more responsibilities on the field. With his contract extending until 2026, he is well-positioned for further development.

Understanding Transfermarkt Market Values
Transfermarkt’s market values are established based on multiple pricing models, heavily influenced by the Transfermarkt community’s assessments and discussions. The values do not strictly equate to transfer fees but aim to provide an expected valuation of players within a free market context, taking into account numerous individual and situational factors.
