“As a centre-back, your primary focus is on defense, managing the game, and controlling the opponent’s counterattacks. Additionally, you play a role in building up the play. Essentially, these are your key responsibilities throughout the match.
“Conversely, as a wing-back, you’re engaged in a lot of back and forth. This role demands a balance between defensive duties and forward movement, as you often find yourself in the final third of the pitch. You need to be decisive, contributing to attacks—whether it’s providing an assist or delivering a well-placed ball that creates a goal-scoring opportunity.
