“From what I’ve observed, we seem quite different this year,” Galton remarked after spending considerable time on the sidelines before coming back as a substitute in our WSL match against Everton in mid-October.
“It feels like other teams are intimidated by us,” he shared. “We’ve been missing that element; it’s been a while since we had it.
“Of course, we’ve always been among the top contenders – I’m not suggesting otherwise – but I haven’t noticed other teams arriving at Leigh with the mindset: ‘This is going to be a challenging match for us.’
“We’re up there, and we look impressive.”
