    <p>Lionel Messi has secured his long-term future with Inter Miami by signing a new contract that extends until 2028. The iconic Argentinian's original deal was set to expire at the end of the current MLS season, but he has officially signed a new three-year agreement. After leaving PSG in 2023, Messi has continued to deliver remarkable performances in the United States.</p>

    <p>At 38 years old, he has recorded 71 goals and 37 assists for Miami and clinched the 2025 MLS Golden Boot for the regular season. The Barcelona legend has also led Miami to achieve their first two trophies since the club's establishment in 2018, winning the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield, with the ultimate goal of securing an MLS title still in sight.</p>

He stated on the Inter Miami website: “I am very happy to remain here and to continue with this project, which has transformed from a dream into a beautiful reality — playing in this stadium at Miami Freedom Park. Since I arrived in Miami, I’ve been very content, so I’m truly pleased to continue my journey here."</p>

    <p>Miami is in the process of constructing a new $1 billion stadium complex, which is expected to open next spring, and Messi is eager to play there. He added: “We are all really excited for the moment when we can finally play at Miami Freedom Park. It’s going to be something incredibly special to play at home in such a spectacular stadium.”</p>
