A Mayoral Development Corporation (MDC), a statutory entity empowered to facilitate large-scale developments, is being established to advance the project, chaired by designated Lord Sebastian Coe.
“This vision extends beyond Manchester United; it encompasses the whole region, Trafford, and Manchester itself. This is why [Mayor] Andy Burnham and Trafford Council are eager to collaborate with us,” he stated.
“Constructing the largest and finest stadium in the UK would be futile if it’s isolated, with inadequate transport links, or if it restricts access on non-match days, preventing local businesses from benefiting.”
