The pressures faced by football managers have reached unprecedented levels, significantly heightened by social media, which amplifies scrutiny like never before. In today’s football, every fan has a platform to express their opinions on everything from tactics to post-match remarks, placing managers under constant observation for their decisions and statements.

Currently, few managers in Europe are feeling the heat as much as Ange Postecoglou. His tenure at Nottingham Forest has been nothing short of disastrous, with the Australian failing to secure a victory in his first seven matches. Frustrated Forest fans have voiced their discontent, as he is now winless in his last eleven Premier League games. Postecoglou was dismissed from Tottenham during the summer following an underwhelming 17th place finish, despite winning the Europa League. No manager has recorded more losses in 2025 than Postecoglou.

According to data from Transfermarkt, which analyzes managers from top-five league clubs across all competitions in 2025, Postecoglou leads with the most losses this year. Girona has enjoyed considerable success under Míchel in recent years, achieving promotion to LaLiga and qualifying for the Champions League. However, this season, they currently sit in the relegation zone. Notably, alongside Postecoglou, four other managers from clubs in the Premier League appear in the top ten list. Ruud van Nistelrooy and Kieran McKenna faced relegation with Leicester and Ipswich, respectively, while Vitor Pereira remains in charge at Wolves. Rúben Amorim's struggles at Manchester United have also been well-documented, with the Portuguese manager losing 15 out of 39 matches this year, including a Europa League final against Postecoglou’s Spurs.
