John Shiels, CEO of the Manchester United Foundation, stated: “Our foundation operates across all 10 boroughs of Greater Manchester, dedicated to helping young people make positive life choices. Unfortunately, our team observes daily the increasingly difficult circumstances faced by younger generations and their families.
“Poverty rates in Greater Manchester continue to rise, which is why we have been truly grateful for the donations we’ve received from Manchester United fans over the past two years. However, it is now more crucial than ever for us to seek the support of fans once again to assist those who are less fortunate, especially as we approach another challenging winter.
“One of the aspects I genuinely appreciate about the Manchester United fanbase is their empathy for others and the strong sense of community they embody. I encourage all supporters to demonstrate this spirit once again by donating any coats they can—those contributions could mean the world to someone in need this winter.”
