Latest LaLiga update is here!

Hansi Flick had a spectacular first season as Barcelona’s manager, guiding the team to both the LaLiga title and Copa del Rey victory. Barcelona reestablished their dominance in Spanish football, defeating Real Madrid four times last season to confirm their supremacy. Lamine Yamal’s meteoric rise continues, Robert Lewandowski proved his enduring quality with 42 goals, and Raphinha had a stellar season, finishing 5th in the Ballon d’Or rankings.
The upcoming challenge for Flick will be to repeat that success in LaLiga and to improve upon their surprising Champions League exit against Inter Milan. Barcelona are among the favorites to clinch the Champions League this season and currently lead LaLiga after seven matches, accumulating 19 points out of a possible 21. The latest update on market values in LaLiga was released today, confirming Yamal as the world’s most valuable player. Curious about who saw the largest increases or decreases in value? Let’s dive in!
Barcelona: Key Winners and Losers from the Market Value Update
A total of five first-team players from Barcelona saw their market values increase, while four players experienced decreases. Fermín López and Ferran Torres each enjoyed a €10 million boost to their market values due to their impressive performances. López’s value has risen to €60 million following a strong start to the season, although he is currently out with a muscle injury. Torres’ versatility is pivotal for Flick, as he can operate in multiple attacking positions and has netted five goals in nine appearances. Eric García, Marc Bernal, and Roony Bardghji also received market value upgrades.
Gavi suffered the most significant decrease among Barcelona players, with his market value falling by €20 million to €40 million due to ongoing injury issues affecting his performance. Surprisingly, Marcus Rashford also saw a €10 million drop despite showing improvement since his arrival on loan from Manchester United. The England forward has scored two goals and provided five assists as he adapts to Spanish football. Additionally, as illustrated in the graphic below, Marc-André ter Stegen and Lewandowski also encountered decreases in their market values.
