Transfermarkt has announced updates to the market values of 101 players in the Eredivisie. Notably, there have been minimal changes among the league's most valuable players. Quinten Timber of Feyenoord remains the highest valued at €30 million, followed by Ajax's Kenneth Taylor at €28 million, and PSV Eindhoven's Ismael Saibari (€27 million) and Joey Veerman (€25 million), all of whom retain their previous valuations.

However, Josip Sutalo experienced a decline in his value among the top five players. The Croatian defender for Ajax saw his market value decrease by €2 million, now standing at €22 million. This slots him alongside PSV's Jerdy Schouten, both sharing the fifth position in the rankings. "Sutalo's drop can be attributed to his injury struggles and limited game time, compounded by Ajax's overall performance issues," explained Transfermarkt Content Manager Netherlands, Owen van Leeuwen.

Despite Sutalo's decline, several Ajax players enjoyed increases in their market values. Promising talents like Youri Baas and Mika Godts each saw a €3 million rise to €15 million and €13 million, respectively. Ajax's goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros also saw a notable increase of 50%, raising his value from €4 million to €6 million.

Eredivisie market values: Increases for Dest and Van Bommel – Potential in El Karouani

Beyond Ajax, other players have also impressed. Ruben van Bommel, the son of former Bayern Munich and PSV legend Mark Van Bommel, has made significant waves in the Eredivisie, with his market value surging by €4 million from €8 million to €12 million after scoring three goals in six matches. Another standout is PSV right-back Sergiño Dest, whose value rose by €2 million to €18 million. “Dest and Van Bommel are standout performers in a PSV side that has faced challenges,” noted Van Leeuwen. “Their upgrades are well-deserved.”

At Feyenoord, Anis Hadj Moussa and Givairo Read emerged as key players in this market valuation update. Hadj Moussa increased his value from €14 million to €20 million, while Read's value went from €16 million to €20 million. “Hadj Moussa and Read have been dominant on the right flank for Feyenoord,” Van Leeuwen remarked. “Their chemistry has truly made them standouts, and hopefully, we’ll see more from them in the Eredivisie and Europa League this season.”

A player to watch outside the major clubs is FC Utrecht's Souffian El Karouani. After attracting interest from Bologna and Marseille this summer, he opted to remain at Utrecht. His decision seems to be paying off, as he has recorded four assists in seven Eredivisie matches. El Karouani's market value has risen by 33.3%, going from €9 million to €12 million, indicating that a transfer to a top-five league club may be on the horizon for the 24-year-old Moroccan international.

Understanding Transfermarkt Market Values

The market valuations on Transfermarkt are determined using various pricing models, heavily influenced by the Transfermarkt community, which engages in detailed discussions and evaluations of player values. It’s important to note that these values shouldn't be directly equated to actual transfer fees.

These figures reflect expected market values in a free market, accounting for individual transfer modalities and situational factors. Transfermarkt does not rely on algorithms for these valuations (for a detailed explanation of market value definitions, click here).
