<p>This summer, Transfermarkt users had the opportunity to vote for the 'Player of the Season' across Europe’s leading leagues. In the Bundesliga, England captain Harry Kane was selected by the TM community and proudly showcased the award on social media.</p>
<p>After netting 26 goals and registering 10 assists in 31 Bundesliga matches, Kane received 33% of the votes. He surpassed former Bayer Leverkusen player Florian Wirtz, who garnered 16.5% of the votes, and his teammate Michael Olise, who received 15.7%. Kane has continued his stellar form this season, consistently scoring and setting several records.</p>
<p>“Harry Kane is shattering records—this past weekend, he became the fastest player to reach 100 goals among all players in a top five league during the modern era,” said Transfermarkt CEO Thomas Lintz. “It’s no surprise the global Transfermarkt community chose him as the 2024/25 Bundesliga Player of the Season.”</p>
<p>The 32-year-old expressed his gratitude to his fans and the TM community for the award with a photo message. TM-CEO Lintz acknowledged that this award has become a recognized honor among professionals, echoing the sentiments of LaLiga winner Lamine Yamal: "The enthusiasm for our Player of the Season award highlights the international reach of Transfermarkt. When stars like Ousmane Dembélé, Mohamed Salah, or Lamine Yamal proudly hold our award, it serves as a special acknowledgment of the users in our community who participate in the voting.”</p>
<p>TM users had the chance to select from a pool of 24 players across 19 leagues globally when voting for their Player of the Season. The award covers all of Europe’s top five leagues, Major League Soccer, the Süper Lig, as well as competitions like the J-League and leagues from countries such as Indonesia and Greece.</p>
