Have you made a decision on who will be in goal on Sunday?
“Yes.”

What led you to that choice?
“It’s similar to how I manage other positions. While it differs, Altay will continue as our starter. He needs to adapt to a new league and country, as well as training and the ball. We’re trying to foster that environment, and the competition for the position remains intense. So, it’s clear to me that Altay will be in goal.”

This indicates trust in Altay, doesn’t it?
“Absolutely. Sometimes you need to establish connections, even with Andre; we witnessed how well Andre Onana performed at Inter. His quality is undeniable, but sometimes the pressure at this club can be overwhelming. No matter how experienced you are, some moments require a shift. We have faith in our goalkeepers, I trust Altay, and he is prepared to step up.”

Can you provide an update on Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot?
“They will be unavailable for this match. I’m unsure how long they will be out. Their presence is crucial for us to be a competitive team, but we have other talented players who are ready to perform, so we’ll still be competitive on Sunday without them.”

Do you have any timeline for their return next week or next month?
“I prefer not to speculate. If you happen to speak to Cunha, he might insist he’s ready to play! We’re managing their returns on a day-by-day basis, but they are working hard in their recovery, which is encouraging.”
