The youngest goalscorers for the Brazilian national team - Estêvão joins top 10

Brazil stands as a nation that epitomizes the beautiful game. With five World Cup titles—more than any other country—they have a legacy of triumph and flair. Renowned for their skillful tricks, flicks, and samba-style football, Brazil is one of the most glamorous football nations, continuously producing exceptional talents through the decades.

Numerous stars have shone brightly at an early age for the Brazilian national team. From Pelé and Ronaldo to Neymar and Ronaldinho, many future legends have dazzled in the iconic yellow jersey as teenagers. Most recently, in a World Cup qualifying match, Brazil triumphed over Chile with a 3-0 scoreline. Among the goalscorers was 18-year-old Estêvão, a newly signed talent at Chelsea, who has now etched his name into the esteemed list of Brazil’s youngest goalscorers.

Youngest Goalscorers for Brazil

At the forefront as the youngest scorer in Brazilian national team history is none other than the legendary Pelé. The three-time World Cup winner netted his first goal for Brazil in 1957 at just 16 years and eight months. Following closely is Edú (not to be confused with the former Arsenal player), who scored in 1966 at 16 years and 10 months. In third place is the iconic Ronaldo, who made his mark for the Seleção in 1994 at 17 years and seven months old. Current Real Madrid rising star Endrick claimed the fourth spot with his first goal last year at 17 years and eight months. Coutinho (not the former Liverpool player) scored his initial goal at 17 years and 10 months in 1961, rounding out the top five.

Next on the list is Carvalho Leite, who scored at 18 years and one month back in 1930. Not far behind is the flashy full-back Marcelo, who found the net at 18 years and three months in 2006. Following his goal last night, Estêvão now occupies the eighth position in the all-time rankings, having scored at 18 years and four months. Diego took the ninth spot with his goal in 2003 at the same age, while the great Neymar finishes the top ten, scoring his first goal for Brazil in 2010 at 18 years and six months.
