Tottenham Hotspur announced on Monday evening, shortly after the summer transfer window closed, that they have signed Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. As previously reported, the France international joins the Premier League club on a season-long loan and will don the No.29 jersey in North London. The arrangement is a straightforward loan with no buy option, and Spurs have agreed to pay a €5 million loan fee.
Kolo Muani had a successful loan spell at Juventus last season, where he made a significant impact, contributing to 16 goals in 36 appearances. Although Juventus expressed interest in signing him permanently, they were unable to reach an agreement with PSG. The 26-year-old expressed his excitement about joining Tottenham, stating, “I’m really happy and very proud to be at such a great club. I can’t wait to meet my teammates, all the fans, and to get out on the pitch. I know what the coach expects from me. I will fight hard for the shirt, the club, and the fans. I will give everything for this team.”
Tottenham’s head coach, Thomas Frank, praised Kolo Muani, saying, “Randal is a quality player who has proven himself over several years, competing for top teams in the Champions League and with valuable experience in the France national team. He’s in the prime of his career and possesses qualities that will benefit both us and the Premier League. He provides us with a different option in the final third, capable of playing both wide and centrally.”

PSG paid a staggering €95 million to acquire Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023; however, he struggled to make an impact at the French club. While he had an impressive record with 43 goal contributions in 50 games at Frankfurt, he managed only 11 goals in 54 appearances for PSG. His contract with Paris extends until 2028, but he is unlikely to feature under coach Luis Enrique.
Kolo Muani’s addition enhances Frank’s attacking lineup, which has seen significant reinforcements over the summer. Spurs made Mathys Tel’s loan from Bayern Munich permanent, signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, and brought in Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig. Despite frequently changing formations, Kolo Muani will compete with Richarlison and Dominic Solanke for a starting position up front.
