<p>The bulk of this summer's €8.86 billion expenditure has come from Premier League clubs, which have already invested €2.91 billion during this transfer window. The three most notable deals thus far include Wirtz's transfer to Liverpool for €125 million, Hugo Ekitiké’s move to Liverpool costing €95 million, and Benjamin Sesko’s €76.5 million transfer to Manchester United. The second highest-spending window belongs to the 2023/24 summer, where €8.85 billion was used, with Arsenal's acquisition of Declan Rice for €116.6 million being the highlight. Last summer ranks third, with an expenditure of €8.07 billion.</p>

However, no window will rival this summer’s staggering expenditure, which is certain to surpass €9 billion by the Monday deadline and could approach €10 billion, with numerous high-profile deals still potentially on the horizon.</p>
