Newcastle, anticipating a potential move for Alexander Isak to Liverpool, sees Sesko as a viable replacement. Manchester United’s interest in Sesko is no surprise given his impressive scoring record. The 22-year-old has netted 39 goals in 87 appearances for RB Leipzig across all competitions, following a remarkable spell at Red Bull Salzburg where he scored 29 goals in 79 games. Although Sesko is capable of playing on the left wing, United would primarily look to deploy him as a central striker, where he could seamlessly integrate into Amorim’s tactical approach.
While Rasmus Højlund has expressed his desire to remain and compete for his position, the addition of Sesko would likely impact Højlund’s playing time. With just 26 goals in 96 matches for Manchester United, Højlund’s role as a starter could be challenged by the new signing. If United employs Amorim’s favored 3-4-3 formation, Sesko is positioned to lead the attack, supported by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, significantly enhancing their forward line.
