This time, Toone made her mark by scoring twice in the group stage against the Netherlands and Wales, and she contributed significantly by playing 87 minutes in the final against Spain before being substituted for Beth Mead.
Clinton appeared in the final 15 minutes of extra time, while the inspirational captain of United Women, Le Tissier, unfortunately, remained on the bench as an unused substitute.
