Unveiling Hidden Gems: The United Archive's Rarely Seen Images

In our editorial department, we’ve developed a strong fascination with the club’s photography archive, which was digitized several years ago for future use across various platforms. This archive contains thousands of rarely seen images from the 1990s and early 2000s, originally captured for our matchday programme, magazine, and website.

This collection is a true treasure trove, and we’re excited to announce our new ‘United Archive’ series, which will share these gems with our supporters around the globe each week. In a week dedicated to commemorating the Munich Air Disaster, it felt fitting to kick off with a feature on the legendary Bill Foulkes, a survivor of the tragedy and a 1968 European Cup winner.

Following that, we showcased another club legend, Denis Law, as he took a nostalgic look over the Stretford End one last time before its transformation into an all-seater stand. We also highlighted Gary Neville’s evocative photoshoot at Old Trafford from the early 2000s and Roy Keane’s arrival from Nottingham Forest in 1993.

Additionally, colorful catalogs depicted scenes from the team hotel in 1995 and a recording session with Status Quo featuring stars like Andy Cole, Mark Hughes, Paul Ince, David May, and others.
