UNDERSTANDING THE PREMIER LEAGUE SUMMER SERIES
The Reds are among four teams participating in this competition, joined by West Ham, Everton, and Bournemouth as our first opponents.
Each club will face off against the others once, with matches organized as double headers on the same day at the same location. The series will kick off at MetLife Stadium, move to Soldier Field in Chicago, and will conclude at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Similar to the regular Premier League season, teams will earn three points for a victory and one point for a draw. The team with the highest points total at the conclusion of the three matches will be declared the winner of the series.
No extra time or penalty shootouts will be held in the matches. In the event that two or more teams finish with the same points, the winner will be determined by goal difference first, then by goals scored, and if still tied, by head-to-head results.
