Top 20 Market Value Losers Revealed
As 2025 comes to an end, it’s time to reflect on which Premier League players have seen the most significant losses in market value over the past year. The latest update on Premier League market values was released on December 9, providing insight into the biggest market value losers in the English top-flight. Many high-profile players, as well as seasoned veterans nearing the end of their careers, have experienced considerable declines.
Since the beginning of the year, no Premier League player has seen a more drastic drop in market value than Manchester City’s Phil Foden. Despite regaining form recently, the 25-year-old’s value has plummeted from €140 million to €80 million, a reduction of €60 million. Following closely is his teammate Rodri, who, after claiming the 2024 Ballon d’Or title, has faced age-related decline and injuries, resulting in a €55 million drop from €130 million to €75 million.
Arsenal’s captain, Martin Ødegaard, has struggled with injuries and poor performance in 2025, leading to a €35 million decrease in his market value. Fourth on the list is Manchester City’s veteran midfielder Bernardo Silva, whose value has taken a €33 million hit. Liverpool’s expensive acquisition, Florian Wirtz, ranks fifth, with a decline of €30 million, although his value still stands at a robust €110 million. Tottenham’s James Maddison also saw a €30 million reduction.
Completing the top ten are Mohamed Salah (-€25 million to €30 million), Ben White (-€25 million to €30 million), Ollie Watkins (-€25 million to €30 million), and Gabriel Jesus (-€25 million to €20 million).
